Flag Christmas Drcorations

Really not suggesting you make these with children, I just had to show them off because I am sooo pleased with them! I've made them for a very good friend of mine and her husband she's English, he's American. There was no way I was going to manage to sew all the stars so I sewed three the size of their family! I'm hoping to make a heart one combing the union jack and star spangled banner! Sorry for my boasting, but just wanted to share! Forgive me

Felt Tree Button Board

I was inspired to make this but seeing a similar button board at Olives and Pickles Blog but had no particular reason to create it.

But then I saw "How to Catch a Falling Star" in the book shelf, and decided that if i created it could be used alongside the book. I made the button board so that it could be hung on the wall or folded up to transport.

I sewed it so that the grass would provide a pocket to store the leaves.

The leaves can then be buttoned onto the tree.

Matching leaves to the correct coloured buttons.

I plan to make the characters from the book to go with the story "How to Catch a Falling Star"

Song Box

Just a simple shoe box with paper/card/ funky foam stuck to the top/ sides to create song environments: Pond, log, wall. Each song has a laminated piece or pieces as visuals for the song, and are either attached to a lolly pop stick or a peg dependent on whether it attaches to edge of box or poked into top.

Row, row, row the boat (I had a crocodile peg but not sure where that is)

Humpty Dumpty

Two little Dicky Birds

1,2,3,4,5 Once I caught a fish alive

Five Little Speckled Frogs

Five Little Ducks

And then they all the pieces can all be put back inside the box. Great for children with Autism to access singing.

Photo Playdough Recipe

I have been meaning to make this recipe book for some time now, we have a lovely one we made YEARS ago and it's still going strong! However I wanted to be able to share it with others so have created this which can be downloaded as a PDF at TES (free joining). Here are all the pages:







Great for supporting independence, pre reading, sequencing and those with any communication difficulties, or who need visual prompts, particularly those with Autism to know the sequence and duration of an activity!

Flower Ring

I created these Flower Rings to be used in Wedding themed play for flower girls! They were so quick to make and turned out really well. I purchased a silk flower lei from poundland, and cut the string to separate the flowers. I already had the rings (handles for bags I think?) I then simply stuck a length of double sided seleotape to ring, and stuck a selection of flowers on top. Hey Presto!

Hedgehogs - revisited

About a week ago I posted about the cute wooden hedgehogs I purchased for 50p. I had some great ideas on how they could be used, and truth is I haven't done a thing with them. 1. Because I've been too busy. 2. Because they are too much fun to build and create patterns with. 3. Because I have been preoccupied with two!

I wish I had more photos of them in action, but I will say they are certainly a fun and addictive toy. We have been challenging ourselves and others to make structures with more/ most ammount of hedgehogs!

I love this action shot with one of the hedgehogs tumbling down!
